Nickelodeon is adding another animated series to the schedule.
Sanjay and Craig, featuring the voices of Chris Hardwick (The Nerdist) and Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock), kicks off the 20-episode season beginning Saturday, May 25 at 10:30 a.m., The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Created by Jay Howell, Jim Dirschberger and Andreas Trolf, Sanjay and Craig follows the misadventures of Sanjay (Pancholy), an excitable and irreverent 12-year-old, and Craig (Hardwick), a smooth-talking snake and master of disguise, as they go on kid-inspired quests.
Additional voice cast include Linda Cardellini, Matt Jones, Tony Hale, Kunal Nayyar and Grey DeLisle.
THR debuts an exclusive clip from the premiere episode, where Sanjay and Craig infiltrate the hospital to see the world’s first butt transplant in “Brett Venom MD.” (Watch the scene above.)
“The comedic and outrageous adventures of Sanjay and Craig deliver the perfect yet distinctive mix of weird, wonderful and random humor that is both unconventional and modern, which this post-millennial world has a strong affinity for,” said Russell Hicks, president of content development and production.
