Rango wint Annie voor Beste Animatiefilm

Ontdek alle winnaars van de Annie Awards 2012.

Gisteren werden in Los Angeles de Annies uitgereikt, de jaarlijkse prijzen voor de best geanimeerde producties. De prijzen gelden als de belangrijkste onderscheiding voor de animatiewereld. Elk jaar worden de beste animaties uit bioscoopfilms, tv-series, specials, commercials en recent ook games bekroond met een Annie Award.

Er waren meer dan dertig categorieën waarin gouden beeldjes werden uitgereikt. De volledige lijst met winnaars (aangeduid met een * en de groene kleur) vind je onderaan in dit bericht. De hoofdprijs ging naar Rango. De film waarin Johnny Depp gestalte geeft aan een kameleon met een identiteitscrisis werd verkozen tot de Beste Animatiefilm. De award voor de Beste Korte Animatiefilm ging naar Adam and Dog, een korte tekenfilm waarvan we onlangs de veelbelovende trailer plaatsten.

De speciale prijzen van de jury werden eerder al bekendgemaakt. Op één van de prijzen mag Nederland erg trots zijn, want Børge Ring kreeg de Winsor McCay Award voor zijn indrukwekkende carrière en bijdrage in de animatiewereld. Hij werkte meer dan twintig jaar in de Marten Toonder Studio. Hij won talloze prijzen; onder meer een Oscar voor zijn korte tekenfilm Anna & Bella en de Prix de Jury in Cannes voor Oh My Darling.
