Ontdek alle winnaars van de Annie Awards 2014.

Zaterdagavond werden in Los Angeles de winnaars bekendgemaakt van de Annie Awards, zeg maar de Oscars van de animatiesector, uitgereikt door ASIFA-Hollywood. Elk jaar wordt de beste animatie in bioscoopfilms, korte films, tv-series, specials, commercials, studentenfilms en sinds vorig jaar ook games bekroond.

De 41e editie bevat meer dan dertig verschillende categorieën. Niet alleen studio’s kunnen prijzen winnen met hun films en series, maar ook individuele mensen die een opmerkelijke bijdrage hebben geleverd aan geanimeerde producties. Zo maken niet alleen de regisseurs, maar ook animators, storyboardtekenaars, ontwerpers, stemacteurs en editors kans op een gouden beeldje.

Ernest & Celestine, een hartverwarmende tekenfilm die deels in België werd gemaakt, was genomineerd voor zes awards maar kon geen enkele verzilveren. Uiteindelijk waren het vooral de grote studio’s (Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks) die met de prijzen aan de haal gingen. Animatiefilm Frozen won vijf awards, The Croods won er drie. Tv-special Toy Story of Terror en animatieserie Mickey Mouse wonnen allebei drie prijzen.
