Wall-E volledig genegeerd bij uitreiking Annies, Kung Fu Panda triomfeert

Onbegrijpelijk in mijn ogen, maar toch realiteit: Kung Fu Panda heeft Wall-E verslagen in élke categorie bij de uitreiking van de Annie Awards 2009. De Annies zijn weliswaar geen Oscars, maar behoren toch tot de belangrijkste prijzen in het animatiecircuit.

Kung Fu Panda had zeker zijn charme en qua animatie zat het deze keer echt goed bij Dreamworks, maar Wall-E was op alle vlakken superieur: zowel qua verhaal, uitwerking als animatie. En de reden ‘Pixar wint altijd dus laten we het eens een ander gunnen’ past misschien beter bij een wedstrijd als het Junior Eurovisie Songfestival of het kampioenschap luchtgitaar spelen.
